Sunroom/FAQ

  1. My wrought iron furniture left a rust spot on my tile floor. Is there any way to remove that spot?

First of all, you will want to purchase some sticky backed felt pads at the fabric store. Put one under the foot of each table and chair leg to prevent future rust spots.

Removing rust from tile can be very tricky.

1. Buy fresh lemons.

2. Place a heavy duty paper towel down on the spot and squeeze a sizeable amount of juice on the towel as well as directly on the spot. Wait an hour keeping the towel saturated the entire time. Then scrub with a salt and lemon juice paste. Repeat if needed.

  1. The fabric pleated shades in my Sun Room get small dots on them. Do you know what causes it and how to remove it?

The fastest way to dust them is with our Dry Sponge. It is used dry so it will not damage any fabric. Wipe over the shades shifting the sponge as it soils. You can wash these sponges to reuse over and over.

For spots, dampen a Q-Tip with a bit of water. Then dab it into a little bit of liquid dish washing detergent. Now apply to the spot, wait 10 to 15 minutes and rinse with a barely damp cloth.

  1. All the window cleaners I use streak my windows and they are expensive. Do you have an easier solution?

You bet I have an easy solution to streaks in windows. Use a new spray bottle. Add 1 once of our streak free Benya, Concentrated Streak Free Glass Cleaner per 10 ounces of water. Then be sure to use our Lint-Free Towels to prevent streaks. Never use paper towels or newspapers as both can be recycled. Use our lint free towels or our Diaper Cloth Towels that can be laundered and reused.
