Antique Lace, Tablecloths
Antique lace and tablecloths yellow with age. Bleach will only worsen the problem and cause lace to dry. The Earth friendly way to remove the yellowing is to fill the kitchen sink or tub with cool water adding 1 cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide for the kitchen sink and 2 to 3 cups for the tub. Soak 30 minutes. If the yellow has not disappeared then add one-half cup more peroxide and soak another 30 minutes. Rinse in one-third cup vinegar to one gallon of water. Air dry.
