Iodine and Methiolade

Wow talk about a stain where people turn to the most toxic of all stain removers, bleach, because nothing seems to remove these two stains. Read the general Stain Removal guidelines first for the handiest tips on removing stains.

Treat these two stains immediately. If they set even 5 minutes the stain is probably going to be permanent. Head to the store for a fresh bottle of hydrogen peroxide. If you are working on a piece of clothing, put plastic down first to protect the working surface then an old white terry towel on top of that. Pour on the peroxide, wait 30 minutes and rinse in cool water. Repeat if that improved the stain. If it did not lighten then it's permanent.
