As New Hard Floor Surfaces evolve almost daily So too must the products used to clean them.
What you don't know will hurt your floor: For years, caring for hard floor surfaces has challenged even the most determined cleaner. String mops, sponge mops or any kind of self wringing mop fell apart, smelled, required hours of rinsing and left a dirty residue that eventually eats away at the sealant on the floor destroying the flooring sealant. Further complicating floor care issues are the continually changing types of flooring available and the lack of accurate information to clean them.
Self wringing mops cannot be used on hardwood floors. The excess moisture they hold warps the boards. Detergents of any kind destroy many of the newer types of flooring including laminates, tile and marble to say nothing of hard wood floors or the new Terrazzo flooring. Storing dripping wet mops presents another challenge and trying to locate replacement parts can turn anyone's hair grey. In desperation, many people have returned to cleaning the floor on their hands and knees.
Simple Solutions have always been the best. The patented Mary Moppins Systems was developed by Mary Findley during the 12 years she professionally cleaned homes. Mary Moppins features a unique mop head design that adapts to a variety of chores. Upon a clue from one client that Germans used terry cloth towels to clean their floors, Mary began long hours tinkering in her garage trying to rig a device that would hold the towel in place while she cleaned.
Realizing that "Velcro" is a hook and loop fastening system and terry towels are the loop part of that system, Mary struggled until she found a product that would hold the hook fasteners. Those hook fasteners provided just enough friction to hold the towel securely in place during cleaning. Mary found she could not only clean a floor in a fourth of the time but the floors were cleaner since a clean towel was used each time and she never had to clean back over the dirt streaks left behind by other mops. She could safely clean a hardwood floor without worry of leaving excess moisture on the floor.
Mary also found that by varying the type of towel used, she could quickly remove cobwebs from ceilings and walls or attach a lint free towel for cleaning windows or skylights. She could even strip and wax a floor without needing to replace an expensive mop head. Her clients, friends and family members all wanted one. She found herself selling them to RV enthusiasts for drying the sides of their motorhomes, which further expanded her business.
News spread of the easy tips and trick Mary learned during her years of home cleaning. People began asking her to teach them her tricks. She happily teaches these tricks to people during her ever popular cleaning seminars. Those seminars led to a quick and easy to read booklet that covers both RV and home cleaning called "Whistle While You Work * Two."
Mary's desire to do what she can to ease the stress on Mother Earth led her to design a mop that lasts up to six and seven years for her customers. To further her desire to reduce landfill clutter, she brought in a full line of high quality dependable cleaning tools designed to do the job quickly without damage to the surface.
Mary is available to present her well attended cleaning seminars where she teaches how to "green" clean your home with speed. She also has a variety of cleaning articles available for publication. You may contact Mary at 800-345-3934 8 AM to 5PM Pacific Time Mon-Fri.
