What? No more mops giving a hefty odor to the broom closet? No more buckets of dirty water slopping on the floor? "I spent twelve years cleaning houses. The mops fell apart, smelled, were dirty and killed my back," says Mary Findley, owner of Mary Moppins.

Pure frustration drove Findley to invent Mary Moppins. On one cleaning job, she used four sponge heads to strip and wax a floor. The waste made her so angry she threw the mop at her garage wall rupturing the sheetrock and learned the art of plastering.

On a tip that most Europeans clean with terry towels, Findley spent a couple of frustrating years jury rigging her own mop head. "And did it work! Floors that took 30 to 45 minutes to clean before were now cleaner in under five. My customers loved them and all wanted one."

Mary Findley invented Mary Moppins to save time and reduce waste. It's an American made story, long hours tinkering in the garage, believing in yourself when others don't. Every spare space of the house turned into a warehouse and manufacturing site for the thousands of mops sold over the last nine years.

What about the long hours and lost personal time? "When my customers tell me how my mop helps them solve their problems and then buy another for a relative or friend, all that seems unimportant," Findley smiles. "Especially when every one of the mops that is in use, keeps 16 to 20 others out of the landfills, then I really smile."

Mary tells the story of how she founded Mary Moppins...

"Mattie a young, headstrong lass of 14, hired an old retiring marshal Rooster Cogburn to find and bring in her father's killer in a movie called "True Grit." Her same determination to do what is right; her stubborn refusal to give up until the job is complete; her grit to plow ahead knowing the odds are against her is also the driving force behind Mary Moppins.

"During the time I professionally cleaned homes, I used that same determination to solve what seemed like insurmountable problems. Mops failed so I invented my own mop, The Mary Moppins system. As people needed specialty tools for their RVs, I either found them or invented one. Other folks began asking for advice on cleaning boats to open boat detailing companies. Still others complained that cleaners were so watered down they ended up in a garage sale.

"By attending international trade conventions and spending hours researching and testing products, I found the best of the best then added them to our line of cleaning equipment. From a streak-free window cleaner to industrial strength cleaners CleanEz to a car wax, Advantage, our "grit" has brought forth a line of cleaning tools and cleaners designed to do the job right, the first time and in far less time than other products.

"Only I didn't stop there. After seeing error after error in cleaning tips put out by other experts I made up my mind to help people become proficient in their cleaning first through our ezine, then through our blog, then magazine and newspaper articles and finally by co-authoring "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Cleaning."

"My remedies and recommendations to clear your life of toxic chemicals and turn to Green Cleaning are peppered throughout our site. From our stain removal guide, to boat cleaning to home cleaning if you need to clean it you will find solutions here and in our problem matrix (coming soon.)

"Welcome and make yourself at home knowing the advice you seek and the products you invest in will solve your problems the right way - with grit, determination and a whole lot of success."

- Mary Findley, Founder of Mary Moppins
